Food s Nutrition Labels Help Greatly Essay - 850 Words

This past week I have been made more aware of my food choices. Now this isn’t to say I ate the healthiest or ate nutritious foods. However, I was able to recognize what was healthy and what wasn’t. I believe looking at the food’s nutrition labels help greatly. This helped me to become more aware and understand the food’s I ate. I began to think a lot more about my food choices versus just throwing food in my mouth without thinking about the consequences. Of course, there were times when I did just throw food in my mouth. However, I noticed the time when this occurs is when I did not eat a breakfast, and I had just had a stressful morning, whether it was work or school. Lunch time is probably the worst time for eating. I am usually starving, stressed, tired and want something quick and easy. Hence, the reason I order out. I noticed the past couple weeks I have had a bad habit of doing so. Afternoons are always the hardest because around 2 pm I crash. I usua lly compensate this by drinking tea, or eating sugar. I know neither are good for me, and the sugar rush I get will only lead me to crash in 15 mins. However, in the moment, I think â€Å"Well, I’m already about to crash, so at least this sugar rush will give me more 15 minutes of productivity†. It’s horrible thinking I know. Right around late afternoon is when I feel I need caffeine or sugar to get me through. This week I tried hard to make a conscious effort to eat breakfast.
